Montreat graduate

Brittany Blair Anderson graduated May 12 from Montreat College. She received a bachelor of arts degree in English with a concentration in communications.

Anderson plans to pursue a masters degree in communications focusing on public relations and graphics design at the University of North Carolina.

At Montreat, she was an Elizabeth Wilson Alumni Scholar, Keystone Scholar, a member of the Homecoming Committee, graphics design and layout editor of the college newspaper, The Whetstone, and the literary magazine, "Q." Her senior thesis was "The Pen Behind the Ink."

She is a graduate of West Rowan High School and also attended Polk County High School. She is the daughter of Dan and Annette Black of Salisbury.

UNC-Charlotte grad

Kenny Brent Cibik is a May 12 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Cibik had a double major and received a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in management information systems.

He has earned the required 150 credit hours to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam this fall. He has also accepted a position in Wachovia's CMG/Commercial/Wealth CIO Group in Charlotte.

Son of Ken Cibik and Tina Jacobs, he is a 2002 graduate of Salisbury High School.

Hampton graduate

Marion S. Greene graduated with honors May 13 from Hampton University in Hampton, Va. She received a bachelor of science degree in physics.

At Hampton, she was a member of Beta Kappa Chi Scientific and Sigma Pi Sigma Physics honor societies. She plans to pursue postgraduate studies in medical physics and nanotechnology.

She is the daughter of Jackie Greene and Dr. Elaine Wilson Greene of High Point and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wilson, who were Salisbury residents.

Graham Forod Hosch is a May 12 graduate of Fayetteville State University with a bachelor of arts degree in visual arts.

Hosch had an art display at the Rosential Gallery on campus.

A 2001 graduate of North Rowan High School, he plans to study ice sculpture at the Un iversity of Virgin Isles.

His parents are Jill and Yusef Tindal of Salisbury.

Queens graduate

Anna Bailey Leatherman is a May 5 summa cum laude graduate of Queens University in Charlotte. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

At Queens, Leatherman was an Outstanding Core 410 Ethics Student, Queens Presidential Scholar and North Carolina Nurse Scholar. She received the Academic Achievement in Nursing Studies Award for the highest GPA in the nursing program.

Also, she traveled to Italy as a Queens student with the John Belk International Program.

A 2003 graduate of West Rowan High School, she is the daughter of John and Joan Leatherman.

She has accepted a position at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord.

Justin John Julian of Winston-Salem graduated with honors May 5 from Appalachian State University in Boone. He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science with a pre-law focus.

Julian plans to major in law at Mercer University in Macon, Ga., this fall.

Jennifer Renee Shepherd of Pendleton, S.C., received a master of science degree from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C., on May 12.

Shepherd is a 1991 graduate of North Rowan High School and a 1996 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a Realtor at ERA in Anderson, S.C.

Rosemary Elaine White of Goleta, Calif., is a May graduate of Vanderbilt University with a Ph.D. in chemistry.

White was a GAANN fellow, Senior GAANN teaching fellow, USA Access to Educational Funds Scholarship recipient and Glenn T. Seaborg Institute research fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

She graduated from West Rowan High School in 1988 and received a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from Duke University in 2002.

She is doing post-doctoral research in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Her parents are George and Nancy White of Salisbury.

UNC-Greensboro grad

Robin Allison is a May 12 magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor of arts degree.

She is the daughter of Jill Miller Allison and Doyne Allison of Boiling Springs and granddaughter of the late Rev. Glenn "Razz" and Ruth Hollis Miller of Rockwell.

At UNCG, Allison was a member of four honor organizations, including Phi Beta Kappa, served two years as a University Marshal and performed in the women's choir.
