* Roberto Fitzgerald Davidson, 43, 127 W. Miller St., was charged Aug. 6 with four counts of felony trafficking in cocaine. He was held under $100,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 9 court appearance.
Burglar steals fridge
A burglar broke into a Gold Hill home, but the only thing stolen was the refrigerator, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.
Heidi Alison Johnson, 2727 Morgan Road, Gold Hill, reported the theft Aug. 9.

Items slashed at China Grove home; damage totaled $1,200
Someone used a knife to slash yard items at a China Grove home Aug. 6, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.
Ronald Darwin Hoyt, 1342 Circle Drive, China Grove, reported $1,200 damage to a swimming pool, tent and canvas top on his property.

* Ken Trexler of Trexler Construction, 921 N. Main St., Granite Quarry, reported $600 worth of copper wire was stolen from job site at 1356 Green Heather Drive the night of Aug. 2.
* Erin Victoria Skipper, 203 Woodbury Drive, reported she found two boys, one 7 and the other 12, inside her home when she returned home Aug. 6. Juvenile referrals were completed on both.
* Delores Wilson Bowers, 3200 Earnhardt Road, reported vandals caused $50 damage to a window at her home Aug. 3 or 4.* Derryek Laine Kesler, 20, 930- Old 80, Gold Hill, was charged Aug. 8 with breaking and entering and safe cracking, both felonies. He was held under $5,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in Stanly District Court, Albemarle.
* Christopher Brian McGhee, 28, 135 Rockwood Drive, was charged Aug. 8 with misdemeanor larceny in Stallings. He was held under $300 secured bond pending an Aug. 24 trial date in Union District Court, Monroe.

* Darryl Ronnie Willis, 2230 Woodcrest Drive, Kannapolis, reported a $350 amplifier was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Aug. 6.
* A 14-year-old boy w as charged Aug. 7 with breaking and entering the home of Cristela Abrego Toledo, 1280 Old Union Church Road.
* Allen Michael Rivers, 31, 208 W. Lafayette St., was arrested Aug. 7 on a governor's fugitive warrant from South Carolina. He was held pending pickup by South Carolina authorities.
* Richard R. King of Wilco Hess, 985 Peeler Road, reported a $75 phone card and $3 VHS tape stolen from the convenience store Aug. 2 or 3.
* Titus Delaney Vinson, 22, 218 Ridge Ave., was charged Aug. 7 with possession of stolen goods and displaying a fictitious tag during a traffic stop on U.S. 29 at Airport Road. Trial date is Oct. 15.
