Youth-In-Action ice cream social set for Sept. 18

Youth-In-Action is the American Red Cross youth program in Rowan County. It was established in 1993. Youth-In-Action educates, encourages, and empowers youth to be active in their communities and to be leaders. Youth-In-Action is a program for students to use their talents and interests to make a difference. The members are offered a variety of leadership classes, and they can also attend conferences and seminars to gain valuable skills.

The American Red Cross is dedicated to helping youth become leaders. It is currently recruiting for new faces in Youth-In-Action. Anyone interested in becoming a part of YIA is invited to an ice cream social on Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Elizabeth Hanford Dole Chapter in Salisbury.

Come join Red Cross members for ice cream sundaes and see if you would like to become a member. Those interested in attending the ice cream social and joining YIA should contact Natalie Gray at 704-633-3854.
