Police identify woman struck, killed by train

Police have identified a woman struck and killed by a train last week.

Sandra Isenhour, 42, of 1024 S. Main St., Salisbury, was positively identified through X-rays, Salisbury Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said.

Wilhelm said the woman lived with her mother, who filed a missing person report the night of the train accident.

Wilhelm said the day after the incident, the train conductor and engineer told investigators they saw someone walk in front of the train and lie on the tracks.

However, investigators haven't confirmed whether the death was a suicide. The incident happened in the 1200 block of South Railroad Street at 1:30 a.m.
