Request for Information
The Salisbury Post doesn't have a research staff, but we do try to help with information requests whenever possible.
Please send any requests for articles or information to library@salisburypost.com and we will do our best to assist you.
We do charge a small fee for any research that we do for the public.
We have articles available online from November 1998 through the present.
We also keep some articles from before November 1998 in paper form, but we can't guarantee that we will have the one you are looking for.
If we are able to find the article you request we can provide you a copy for a small fee.
If you have a time sensitive request, you may want contact the History Room at the Rowan Public Library.

They have the previous issues of the paper on microfilm, and are able to make hard copies from their printer.
How to Look Up Articles on our Web site
The homepage on our web site has a section on the top, just below the header, called Archives. This is where our online articles are kept.
There are two ways to use the Archives, either the Quick Search or the Advanced Search.
For the Quick Search just type in a keyword(s) that describes the article you are looking for and click Find.
To use the Advanced Search:
1. Click the link in the Archives section.
2. In the Archive Search type the keyword(s) of the subject you want to search.
3. In the Section category select the location the article appeared in the paper. *
4. In the Author text box, type the name of reporter who wrote the article. *
5. In the Date Range, select the dates you think the article appeared in the paper. If you know the exact date, enter that date in both parts.
6. Click the search button.

For articles prior to March 19, 2002 click the link at the top of the page on the Advanced Search form.

Photographs
We are able to sell reprints of pictures that appear in the paper. They can be ordered by clicking the Photo Galleries link on our web site.
